Full Job Description

Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity’s events portfolio includes fundraising, volunteer, advocacy, homeowner, donor stewardship, retail, and staff engagement events that inspire philanthropy, advance the organization’s mission, and elevate strategic priorities. The Events Manager leads planning and execution for a broad range of mission-driven events, overseeing project management, logistics, vendor coordination, communications, and guest experience while collaborating across departments, sponsors, community partners, and stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

Education, credentials, and experience:

Four years of experience planning and managing events, including fundraising, donor, community, volunteer, or public-facing events.
Strong project management, organizational, and cross-functional collaboration skills, including experience managing timelines, logistics, budgets, vendors, contracts, guest experience, communications, and stakeholder expectations across multiple projects.
Experience building and maintaining relationships with sponsors, donors, volunteers, vendors, community partners, and other stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Reliable transportation and ability to travel locally to event sites and organizational locations as needed. Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
Personal auto insurance compliant with TCHFH Driver’s Policy.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Competencies:

Event Planning: Develops, plans and coordinates, executes engaging events for the organization.
Fundraising: Knowledge of fundraising principles and experience with fundraising tools, such as donor databases, grant writing, and online fundraising platforms.
Collaboration: Works effectively with others, inside and outside the organization, to achieve shared goals.
Adaptability: Readily consider new approaches and adapt quickly to change.
Business Perspective: Applies knowledge of the industry to advance the organization's goals.

Planning and Prioritization: Plans, organizes, and adjusts work activities and resources while mitigating risks and issues.

This position is represented by a labor union. A first collective bargaining agreement is currently under negotiation, and terms and conditions of employment may be subject to change upon completion of the bargaining process.
