This opportunity is designed for interpreters who are comfortable using their language, cultural communication, and relationship-building skills in professional meetings with business owners and decision-makers.

Role Overview
The Multilingual Interpreter and In-Person Closing Specialist will attend scheduled meetings with business owners and decision-makers throughout Minnesota.
The contractor will use their language and cultural communication skills to ensure that information is clearly understood, establish trust, present the opportunity, answer questions, address concerns, and help move the conversation toward a completed agreement.
Qualified meetings and relevant background information will be provided in advance.
This is not a traditional interpretation-only assignment. The position combines multilingual communication, relationship-building, presentation, and in-person closing responsibilities.
Training, presentation materials, talking points, procedures, and closing guidance will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend scheduled in-person meetings throughout Minnesota
- Interpret and communicate accurately between English and the assigned language
- Review meeting information and outreach notes in advance
- Establish trust with business owners and decision-makers
- Present information clearly, professionally, and accurately
- Ensure that important information is understood by all parties
- Recognize and address language or cultural communication barriers
- Ask questions to understand the prospect’s needs and concerns
- Explain relevant features, benefits, terms, and next steps
- Respond professionally to questions and objections
- Address concerns that may prevent the prospect from moving forward
- Guide the conversation toward a decision
- Ask for the business and work toward completing the agreement
- Assist with required documents and signatures
- Accurately document the result of each meeting
- Communicate follow-up needs to the appropriate team member
- Maintain discretion, confidentiality, and professional conduct

Required Qualifications
- Professional fluency in English
- Professional fluency in at least one listed language
- Previous professional interpreting experience
- Strong consecutive interpretation and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate meaning accurately rather than translating word for word
- Strong understanding of cultural communication differences
- Confidence meeting with business owners and decision-makers
- Ability to explain detailed information clearly and accurately
- Strong listening, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to remain professional during questions, concerns, and objections
- Comfortable guiding a professional conversation toward a decision
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Dependable, organized, responsive, and punctual
- Ability to document meeting outcomes accurately
- Ability to work independently and manage scheduled assignments

Previous sales or closing experience is preferred but not required. Candidates must be confident communicating with decision-makers, presenting information, addressing concerns, and asking the prospect to move forward.

Contractors may choose which Minnesota cities, counties, or regions they are available to cover.

Contractors are responsible for their transportation, equipment, taxes, insurance, registrations, and other obligations related to their independent business activities.
Pay: $25.81 - $31.08 per hour
