Job Title: Home Care Account Executive | Private Pay Growth & Partnerships

Compensation: $100,000-$130,000 Base Salary + Uncapped Commission
Additional Perk: Company Vehicle + Gas Card | Personal Use Allowed
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday-Friday + On-Call Rotation

The hospital already has preferred providers.

The senior living community already has home care companies they work with.

The family says they're "just exploring options."

The prospect doesn't return your first call.

Good. Now the selling starts.

Legacy Home Care is looking for an Account Executive who understands that new business rarely arrives after one conversation.

We're looking for someone who knows how to prospect, follow up, stay relevant, overcome objections, ask for the business, and close.

Because in private-pay home care, you don't just need relationships.

You need relationships that turn into clients and revenue.

What You're Selling Matters

Private-pay home care isn't an abstract product.

You're often meeting families at a moment when something has changed.

Mom fell.

Dad is coming home from the hospital.

A spouse can't safely provide all the care anymore.

The family knows they need help but doesn't know where to start.

Your job is to take a complicated situation and help someone confidently say:

"Yes. This is the help we need."

That takes sales ability, but it also takes emotional intelligence.

You need to know when to ask questions.

When to listen.

When to educate.

And when it's time to ask for the business.

You Need to Win Two Different Sales

This position is different from a traditional B2B sales role.

First, you need to win the referral relationship.

You'll build credibility with hospital professionals, senior living leaders, social workers, physicians, care managers, and other people who encounter families needing additional support.

They need to trust that when they recommend Legacy, we'll take care of their patient and protect their reputation.

Then comes the second sale.

The family.

They're the consumer.

They're often paying privately.

They may be comparing providers.

They may have never purchased home care before.

And they may be making a significant financial decision during an already stressful situation.

You need to be equally comfortable winning the professional relationship and closing the consumer.

What You'll Own

You'll be expected to:

Hunt for new referral sources throughout the Greater Twin Cities.
Cold call, prospect, network, conduct drop-ins, and create new conversations.
Develop relationships with hospitals, senior living communities, physicians, clinics, care managers, and community organizations.
Turn previously inactive or unknown accounts into productive referral sources.
Meet directly with prospective clients and family decision-makers.
Identify care needs and clearly communicate the value of Legacy's services.
Follow up consistently with families who aren't ready to make a decision immediately.
Ask for the business and help convert inquiries into paying clients.
Build and maintain a measurable sales pipeline.
Track referral sources, conversions, revenue, and territory performance.
Collaborate with operations to ensure what you sell can be delivered exceptionally well.

We're less interested in hearing that you're a "people person" than seeing what you've actually accomplished.

Tell us:

What did you inherit?

What did you build?

What did you personally win?

And what were the numbers?

Maybe you took a territory from $500,000 to $1.2 million.

Maybe you consistently exceeded quota.

Maybe you opened 30 new accounts.

Maybe you took business from a competitor everyone thought was untouchable.

Maybe you built a referral network from scratch.

We want tangible evidence that you know how to create new business.
