Job Title: Recovery Access Coordinator
Job Summary: This position is responsible for coordinating admissions across all Wayside Recovery programs while delivering excellent customer service, including managing and answering the organizations mainline.

Since then, Wayside has become an expert in delivering gender-specific and trauma-informed substance use treatment and mental health services for women and their families.
Wayside Recovery provides a holistic array of substance use treatment for adult women, including outpatient and residential substance use treatment, recovery support services, adult and children’s mental health therapy, long-term supportive housing, and family support services.
Our vision is that all women, children, and families achieve healing and hope for their future free from the effects of addiction and trauma.
Shift: 8am – 4pm Monday – Friday
Responsibilities & Essential Functions:
Key Functions:
1. Answer incoming calls and make sure the caller connects with the correct staff member, making sure to avoid multiple transfers.
2. Responsible for obtaining necessary information on potential clients (demographic, referral, clinical, financial information).
3. Prioritize and handle the needs of the caller for scheduling assessments.
4. Obtain pre-admit information from caller.
5. Coordinate with the intake coordinator to set up admission.
6. Provide crisis intervention to callers as needed.
7. Assist on site staff in setting up admissions.
8. Start a chart for potential admissions and complete online data as needed for review.
9. Making a lasting and professional first impression of Wayside Recovery
10. Provide excellent customer service.
11. Answer callers' questions without transferring when able.
12. Verify insurance coverage for each CD and MH client (pre-authorization) prior to admittance.
13. Assist with Records Requests at Wayside Recovery in accordance with HIPPA and C.F.R. 42 standards, as needed.
Other Functions:
1. Maintain confidentiality for all pertinent client information.
2. Role model behavior which is consistent with and supportive to women in recovery from substance use disorder. Such behavior will include upholding ethical standards of the program and reliable attendance.
3. Support and backup other Admin Team members as needed.
4. Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
1. Must be free from problematic substance use for at least one year immediately preceding their hiring and must sign a statement attesting to that fact.
2. Knowledge of managed behavioral health fund, MHCP, checking eligibility.
3. Knowledge and experience in purchasing function preferred.
4. Knowledge and experience in food preparation preferred.
5. Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills, and de-escalation skills.
6. Excellent work organization skills and detail oriented.
7. Excellent project management skills.
8. Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
9. Knowledge and experience with licensed facilities preferred, such as school or nursing home.
10. Able to work well with diverse staff and clients.
11. Good driving record and current Minnesota Driver’s License required along with reliable vehicle
12. No DWIs in last three years; No more than three moving violations/accidents in past three years
13. Must be able to pass DHS background study and must be free of communicable disease.
14. Must be 18 years or older.
PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS:
1. Able to use telephone and laptop computer.
2. Able to lift and carry 25 pounds.
3. Able to climb stairs.
