Credentialing & Compliance Coordinator

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota (Hybrid)
Schedule: 2 Days Remote / 3 Days In-Person
Pay: $22–$25 per hour

Job Summary

Creative Thinkers is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Credentialing & Compliance Coordinator to join our dynamic healthcare team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this vital role, you will oversee provider credentialing, compliance tracking, licensing verification, and regulatory documentation to ensure all organizational and healthcare standards are met.

The ideal candidate will have experience in healthcare administration, credentialing, compliance coordination, or managed care environments. Your expertise will support seamless provider onboarding, regulatory compliance, and high-quality patient care operations while maintaining adherence to NCQA (National Committee for Quality Assurance) standards.

This hybrid position offers the flexibility of working remotely two days per week and in-office three days per week.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the provider credentialing process from initial application through renewal
Verify provider licenses, certifications, registrations, and qualifications according to state and federal regulations
Maintain accurate credentialing and compliance records, including expiration tracking and renewal documentation
Coordinate provider enrollment, re-credentialing, and insurance panel applications with managed care organizations
Monitor compliance with NCQA standards through regular audits and policy updates
Assist in preparing documentation for audits, accreditation reviews, and compliance inspections
Track onboarding documents and ensure all employee and provider files remain current and compliant
Collaborate with providers, insurance companies, licensing agencies, and internal departments
Educate staff regarding credentialing procedures, compliance requirements, and regulatory updates
Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all compliance and credentialing systems
Support administrative and operational compliance initiatives across the organization

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required
Associate or bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, HR, or related field preferred
Previous experience in healthcare credentialing, compliance, managed care, or medical office operations preferred
Strong understanding of healthcare credentialing processes and regulatory standards
Knowledge of NCQA standards, medical terminology, and provider enrollment procedures
Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and credentialing/database management systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to interpret regulations and implement compliant procedures effectively
High attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information professionally

Preferred Skills

Experience with healthcare compliance tracking systems
Managed care and insurance credentialing knowledge
Audit preparation and regulatory documentation experience
Problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
