Short-Term Rental Operations & Personal Assistant (Airbnb / Vrbo)

Saint Paul, MN · Full-time · $25 to $35/hour depending on experience ($52,000 to $72,000/year)

I own and manage several short-term rental properties in the Saint Paul and Minneapolis area, and I'm looking for a dependable, organized person to become my right hand. This is a mix of property operations, administrative work, and personal assistance. The right person takes ownership of tasks, communicates well with guests and vendors, and figures things out without needing constant direction.

Property operations (the core of the job)

Managing Airbnb and Vrbo guest messages and handling routine questions and issues
Coordinating cleaners, managing cleaning schedules, and confirming properties are ready between guests
Scheduling maintenance and repair vendors, then following up until work is actually finished
Updating listings, descriptions, photos, and property information
Building and maintaining simple checklists and operating systems

Administrative and personal support

Organizing receipts, expenses, and invoices for accounting
Scheduling appointments, contractors, and household help
Organizing home, office, garage, and storage areas
Listing furniture, equipment, and other items for sale online
Miscellaneous errands and projects

What the first year looks like

The first several months include a backlog of setup and organization projects alongside daily operations. As systems mature, the role shifts toward higher-level management of the properties with more independence and decision-making authority. There is significant room to grow in responsibility and compensation for the right person.

What I'm looking for

Very dependable and responsive
Highly organized, with strong written communication
Comfortable with computers, smartphones, and learning new software quickly
Comfortable texting, emailing, and speaking with guests, cleaners, contractors, and vendors
Able to prioritize problems and make reasonable decisions independently
Follows through until tasks are actually complete
Comfortable with work that varies day to day
Local to Saint Paul and able to work in person when needed
Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
Background check required

Experience with Airbnb, Vrbo, property management, hospitality, office management, executive assistance, or bookkeeping is helpful but not required. Training provided.

Evening availability

Because these are short-term rentals, an occasional guest message or issue comes up in the evening. I'm looking for someone generally able to monitor and respond to important messages outside business hours when necessary. This does not mean working all evening, just being reasonably available if something urgent comes up.

Compensation and benefits

$25 to $35/hour depending on experience
Paid sick and safe time
Flexible daytime scheduling
W-2 position

Start date: Looking to hire and begin training within the next two weeks.
