Homeschool Educator

Job Overview
Join our household educational team as a Homeschool Teacher, where you will inspire and guide a small group of elementary students a personalized learning environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to craft engaging lessons, adapt teaching strategies to diverse learning styles, and foster a love of learning across various subjects. This is a part-time partnership on Mondays and Thursdays for approximately 2-3 hours or more. There is a possibility of additional hours.

As a Homeschool Teacher, you will work closely with families to implement curriculum plans that meet educational standards while nurturing each child's unique developmental needs. Your role is vital in creating an enriching, supportive, and flexible educational experience that promotes academic growth and lifelong curiosity.

Responsibilities
Design and deliver customized lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards across elementary subjects such as literacy, math, science, social studies, and arts.
Utilize learning technology and Learning Management Systems (LMS) to organize lessons, track student progress, and facilitate interactive activities.

Assess student performance through formative and summative evaluations; analyze data to inform instruction and support academic achievement.
Maintain effective classroom management strategies to foster a positive learning environment; incorporate behavior management techniques as needed.
Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress, challenges, and achievements; provide guidance on supporting learning at home.
Coordinate with other educators or specialists for curriculum development, instructional modifications, or additional support services.
Ensure compliance with educational regulations and standards while maintaining accurate records of lesson plans, assessments, and student performance data.

Skills
Proven experience working with children in an educational setting, including elementary school teaching or tutoring roles.
Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in classroom management.
Expertise in curriculum development and implementation across core subjects such as literacy education, math, science, and arts.
Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and various learning technology tools for remote or hybrid instruction.

Excellent communication skills for engaging effectively with students, parents, and colleagues; capable of providing clear guidance and feedback.
Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and cultural backgrounds.
Knowledge of standardized testing procedures and experience analyzing student performance data to inform instruction.
Understanding of educational compliance regulations; committed to maintaining high standards of safety, privacy, and accountability.
Skills in classroom teaching techniques including lesson planning, behavior management, music instruction (if applicable), and literacy education.
