Survey Manager

Are you an experienced Professional Land Surveyor ready to take the next step into a leadership role? Our client, a local well-established engineering consulting firm is seeking a Survey Manager. This is an outstanding opportunity to transition into a management position while remaining actively involved in technical survey work and leading a talented team.

As the Survey Manager, you'll lead survey projects, mentor a talented team, collaborate across departments, and help shape the future growth of the surveying practice. If you enjoy balancing project management, technical expertise, and team leadership, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

Project Leadership

Lead and manage land surveying projects from planning through completion.
Oversee a variety of survey services, including ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, existing conditions, plats, legal descriptions, and easement exhibits.
Coordinate project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, and deliverables with project managers and field staff.
Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality (QA/QC) standards.

Team Leadership

Mentor, coach, and develop survey staff while providing technical guidance and project oversight.
Foster a collaborative, team-oriented culture focused on communication, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Support employee development and performance management.

Client & Business Development

Build strong client relationships by delivering exceptional service and quality work.
Identify opportunities to expand surveying services and support business development initiatives.
Collaborate across departments to drive project success and future growth.

Qualifications:

Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license or ability to obtain.
6+ years progressive experience managing land surveying projects.
Strong knowledge of land surveying principles, standards, and best practices.
Experience with ALTA/NSPS surveys, plats, legal descriptions, and boundary surveys.

Pay: From $120,000.00 per year
