Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable, hands-on welder/fabrication tech to support daily operations within our food manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for fabricating/welding frames, supports, and equipment. Tech will need experience in MIG, TIG, and or stick.
This is a hands-on position — you will be actively working on equipment and facility upkeep while helping maintain overall operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with fabrication, welding, and equipment modifications or improvements
Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety, GMP, and food safety standards
Operate forklifts and other equipment safely when required
Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and documentation
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement solutions
Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Qualifications
2+ years of welding experience
Advanced welding and fabrication skills
Forklift experience or willingness to become certified
Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills and reliability
Preferred Experience
Experience in food manufacturing or regulated production environments
Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, and food safety standards
Experience with PLCs or basic electrical controls troubleshooting
Background in building maintenance and facility systems
Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment (noise, temperature changes, etc.)
Ability to climb ladders, work in tight spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks
