Full Job Description

This position will play a critical role within the Second Line of Defense Compliance team supporting the U.S. Consumer Proprietary Lending portfolios with a high focus on Cash Back products such as Blue Cash Everyday while also supporting legacy lending cards and other products. The position will provide strategic support to drive innovation for the business while building an effective framework for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Focus will be dedicated to new product development (including associated Card benefits), marketing strategies, risk management initiatives, process control, customer communications and complaints and issue management.

Demonstrated proficient knowledge of U.S Consumer open-end credit laws and regulations and banking regulations governing credit card activities and their impact on products, operations, and services.
Ability to research, assess and determine regulatory impact to business initiatives and influence decisions accordingly.
Strong leadership skills and proven ability to influence decisions, communicate and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization; including the ability to influence others to achieve desired results.
Strong interpersonal skills to support business partners and proven ability to develop and grow relationships.
Ability to independently identify and effectively communicate compliance risks and requirements to all levels of staff and management; including the ability to influence others to achieve desired results.
Demonstrated ability to make decisions independently, work well under pressure, meeting deadlines and handle multiple tasks while prioritizing work in a highly deadline-intensive environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Prior credit card industry, compliance, legal or risk experience.
Bachelor’s Degree, strongly preferred.
