Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to join our IT Operations team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing Windows server environments, enterprise networks, user support, cybersecurity practices, and infrastructure administration in a fast-paced business environment.

This role requires a hands-on professional capable of supporting both day-to-day operations and long-term infrastructure improvements while providing excellent technical support to end users and internal teams.

Responsibilities

Administer, maintain, and support Windows Server environments including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, file services, and virtualization platforms.
Provide Tier-1 and Tier-2 technical support for desktops, servers, networks, applications, and end-user devices.
Perform server lifecycle management including installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, monitoring, troubleshooting, and decommissioning.
Manage LAN/WAN infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, VPN connectivity, cabling, and network performance optimization.
Support Microsoft 365 environments including Outlook, Teams, Exchange Online, OneDrive, and user account administration.
Troubleshoot hardware/software issues including desktop performance, printers, mobile devices (iOS/Android), malware infections, and peripheral devices.
Perform data protection tasks including backup management, disaster recovery testing, and restoration procedures.
Support cybersecurity initiatives including:
Vulnerability remediation
Patch management
Firewall policy administration
Endpoint protection
Email log analysis
Security incident response
Analyze, test, and deploy system upgrades and infrastructure enhancements with minimal downtime.
Administer Microsoft SQL Server environments including backups, maintenance plans, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Administer and support web server environments including IIS, Apache, and/or Nginx.
Support cloud infrastructure and services.
Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, inventory records, and disaster recovery documentation.
Participate in periodic on-call rotation for after-hours and weekend support.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience in Systems Administration or Infrastructure Support.
Strong experience administering Windows Server environments.
Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, DNS, DHCP, and virtualization technologies.
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration.
Knowledge of enterprise networking including switches, routers, VLANs, VPNs, and firewalls.
Experience with backup solutions, disaster recovery planning, and cybersecurity best practices.
Experience administering web servers such as IIS, Apache, or Nginx.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
English proficiency is mandatory.

Desired Skills

Linux server administration experience.
Experience with cloud platforms including Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Experience with PowerShell scripting or process automation.
Experience with VMware or Hyper-V virtualization.
Familiarity with endpoint management and monitoring tools.
Industry certifications such as Microsoft, CompTIA, Cisco, Linux, Azure, AWS, or cybersecurity certifications are a plus.
