This position is physically demanding—you’ll be outdoors year-round. You'll repair and install plumbing, lighting, and plants. You'll perform regular cleaning and maintenance to ensure each pond remains healthy, balanced, and visually stunning.

This role is not well-suited for those who prefer office work or cannot lift 60-70+ lbs multiple times a day. About AquaLife Ponds:

AquaLife Ponds is a 13-year-old, award-winning water feature company located in Costa Mesa, California. We proudly serve Orange County and Los Angeles areas, designing, building, and maintaining high-quality water features. We’re a Master Certified Aquascape Contractor and hold a California state contractor’s license.

We’re not just passionate about ponds—we’re passionate about people. Our philosophy is simple: take care of our team, and they’ll take care of our customers. We believe in communication, honesty, and teamwork, and we want every team member to grow both personally and professionally.

What We Offer:

Starting pay $20/hr + (depending on experience) with performance reviews after 90 days and opportunities for raises/bonuses.
Monthly bonus opportunities for jobs completed on time and within project goals.
Paid sick time (40 hours/year after 90 days).
Paid Time Off (PTO) begins after 90 days.
Six paid holidays after 90 days (New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Thursday–Friday, Christmas Day).
Training opportunities through Aquascape University and industry leaders.
A supportive, team-oriented culture with room to grow.

Requirements:

Fluent in English
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to work in all weather conditions
Knowledge in pvc plumbing (preferred)
Experience with construction, maintenance or landscaping tools (we will train if motivated)
Service trade experience of any kind is a plus
Proactive and able to anticipate needs
Strong problem-solving skills
Good public communication skills
Willingness to learn company processes and effectively explain them to customers
A natural curiosity for knowledge and willingness to ask questions
Positive attitude, sense of humor, and commitment to high-quality craftsmanship
Professionalism in all interactions
