Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are a local growing Electrical company seeking an experienced Purchasing Agent/ Inventory Manager to lead our procurement and warehouse operations in Brookhaven, MS. In this role, you will manage inventory, oversee warehouse staff, and source materials- primarily commercial electrical supplies- to support active construction projects across Mississippi. The ideal candidate is organized, decisive and possesses a strong working knowledge of commercial construction materials to minimize project downtime.

Responsibilities

Purchasing and Sourcing: Source material requests from project managers and Field Foremen. Obtain competitive quotations, approve costs, and execute purchases quickly.
Tool Tracking and Management: Manage the company tool inventory tracking software. Check tools in/out, update user access, and coordinate the repair or replacement of damaged equipment.
Inventory Control: Monitor local warehouse stock. Oversee incoming and outgoing materials to ensure accurate job-cost allocation.
Logistics and Dispatch: Oversee warehouse staff executing material movement. Arrange timely delivery of tools and supplies from the warehouse or suppliers directly to jobsites.
Returns and Credits: Evaluate materials returned from completed jobs. Determine whether to return items to suppliers for credit or add to inventory for future use.
Reporting: Provide weekly material data and procurement updates to senior management and Project Managers to aid in managing project profitability.

Qualifications

Experience: Strong background in purchasing, inventory management, or warehouse logistics. (Required)
Industry Knowledge: General working knowledge of commercial electrical or construction materials. (Highly Preferred)
Leadership: Experience supervising or overseeing warehouse personnel.
Tech- Savvy: Comfortable with computer use. Ability to learn and manage inventory tracking and purchasing software.
Traits: Excellent communication, sharp negotiation skills and strong attention to detail.

Hours

Monday-Friday 7:00 AM- 4:00 PM

Pay

Will be based upon experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $1.00 - $2.00 per hour
