Dog Nerds, Outdoor Enthusiasts, and Hard Workers: We’re Hiring!
Are you the person who stops to pet every dog on the street? Do you thrive in the fresh air, regardless of whether it’s sunny or snowing? If you’re looking for a job where you can trade a desk for a play yard and a keyboard for a leash, we want to meet you.
Wind River Canine Partners is looking for dedicated Kennel Technicians to join our team in our beautiful ranch-style setting. This isn’t just "playing with puppies"—it’s a fast-paced, physical, and highly rewarding role that keeps our facility running and our dogs thriving.
The Reality of the Role
We’ll be honest: this job is tough. You will get dirty, you’ll be on your feet all day, and you’ll deal with Montana’s "all four seasons in one day" weather. But for the right person, there is nothing better than seeing a shy dog come out of its shell or a high-energy group playing in perfect harmony.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Expert Care: Feeding, watering, and monitoring the health and well-being of our guests.
- The "Dirty" Work: Maintaining a spotless environment—cleaning suites, yards, and common areas is a huge part of the day.
- Canine Matchmaking: Observing body language to create cohesive play groups and matching dogs by temperament for safe, fun socialization.
- Client Connection: Handling the "human" side of things—answering phones, managing emails, and checking dogs in and out with professional flair.
What We’re Looking For
- Reliability: Our dogs depend on us 24/7. We offer flexible scheduling for both day and overnight shifts.
- Weather-Proof Attitude: You’re ready to work outside whether it’s 90 degrees or 10 below.
- Patience & Focus: Handling multiple dogs requires a calm head and a sharp eye for detail.
The Perks (Beyond the Puppy Breath)
- Starting Pay: $14.50/hr with a guaranteed increase after your 90-day probationary period and annual raises thereafter.
- Growth: Work alongside full-time professional trainers! This is a prime spot for anyone wanting to learn advanced handling and training techniques.
- Paid Time Off: Because everyone needs a break (even us).
- Dog Benefits: Free daycare for your personal dog and a 50% discount on our other professional services.
- Continuous Learning: We provide paid training and opportunities to further your education in the industry.
Requirements
- 18 years or older
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Physically fit enough for the job - ability to lift 50lbs, handle high-energy, strong dogs, be on your feet all day. Who needs the gym?
