Full Job Description

Alpine Canine looking for a caring, patient person who is comfortable working with dogs. Candidate should be able to follow standard cleaning and facility schedules as well as follow directions as given by facility Owner, Assistant Manager, and Kennel Technicians. The Kennel Assistant is an individual who is present in the facility as additional supervision for the dogs as well as hike and play with them as time allows. Other duties include cleaning kennels, yards, and outdoor areas regularly to keep our facility clean and sanitary. This position is entry level, but is designed for promotion to a Kennel Technician provided that the person hired shows dedication, reliability, and a commitment to our business and business practices.

Responsibilities:

Handle animals in a safe and responsible manner.
Display a calm confidence while working with groups of dogs.
Participate in our off-leash hiking service as scheduled.
Good time management skills.
Follow direction as given by facility owner and higher-level staff.
Conduct hygiene and sanitation measures that are used to prevent the spread of illness.
Clean and disinfect animal equipment and tools to reduce the risk of infection or illness.
Perform household chores including dog waste clean up, sweeping, mopping, laundry, dishes etc.
Any other duties as assigned by the Owner, Assistant Manager or Kennel Technician on duty.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $11.00 per hour

Expected hours: 18 – 32 per week
