Who We Are
Garden Mother was once just a mother in the garden with her baby. The goal was to grow organic food to first feed her baby and then sell the rest at farmers' markets. Today Garden Mother works with farms and purveyors of organic products to bring you a collaborative collection of goods. Both for our general store herbal products as well as our cannabis products.
We support other businesses with sustainable practices that manufacture quality herbal products by selling their goods in our shop. As herbalists and educators with an emphasis on nutrition, we want you to find health and happiness at all stages of life and work.
Duties Include
- Trimming cannabis using hand tools effectively and safely
- Must be able to read, comprehend, and follow SOP's.
- Follow detailed instructions from management
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs
- Able to sit and trim for long periods of time
- Assist cultivation with harvesting, de-leafing, moving soil and cleaning.
- Bottling tinctures, oils, and other retail products
- Packaging and labeling products correctly 1000's of times over
- Assisting with product manufacturing and cleanup
- Keeping a clean and tidy workspace for all
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating quantities.
- Must be able to utilize critical thinking and mindfulness
- Keeping your Montana Cannabis Workers Permit up to date.
If you have experience with trimming, packaging, manufacturing, extractions, harvesting, metrc or other relative experience that you feel can add value to our team, please make that known on your resume. A cover letter is encouraged, that tells us more about yourself.
Physical Requirements Include
- Ability to sit or stand for up to 10 hours
- Must be able to push, pull, and lift 30 lbs.
- Must have good hand and finger dexterity and strength
Preferred skills
In previous jobs, you have been known for your skills in:
- Catching potential problems before they arise
- Metrc cannabis software experience is preferred but not essential
- Dutchie POS software experience helpful if backing up retail
- Setting personal goals for improvements in efficiency and productivity
- Using direct, honest, and professional communication
Pay information:
- Base pay will be between $15.00-$19.00 hourly.
- Price range is based on relevant experience, wage could be more for the right skills.
- Metrc & managing experience are determining factors in the higher wage range.
- Pay schedule: 5th and 20th with automatic deposits.
- Gusto is used as our time tracking app with location-based clock ins and outs on a mobile app.
- Review with potential raise at 3 months
Schedule
- Tuesday - Friday 7am-3pm with occasional late days and weekend shifts if needed. 32 hours is the main schedule.
- Hours may be 40 hours per week if you have retail knowledge and can help cover budtending shifts in Missoula.
