Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable, organized, and hands-on Service Support Specialist-Fire Protection to support our Service and Contract Departments. This position is responsible for ordering materials, coordinating deliveries, managing shop inventory, assisting with vehicle maintenance scheduling, and maintaining tools and equipment. The ideal candidate enjoys a fast-paced environment, is mechanically inclined, and takes pride in keeping operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities
Material Ordering & Job Coordination
- Receive material lists from the Service Sales Representative after jobs are sold and assigned a job number.
- Order materials accurately and in a timely manner.
- Verify material arrivals and organize orders for pickup or delivery.
- Notify designated team members when materials are ready and staged for jobs.
- Ensure materials are properly labeled and placed in designated staging areas.
Deliveries
- Deliver materials to service job sites during the first several months to become familiar with products, customers, and field personnel.
- Coordinate larger deliveries with the company shop truck driver.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed.
- Work closely with shop personnel to ensure deliveries are accurate and on schedule.
Tool & Equipment Management
- Deliver tools and safety equipment to job sites when required.
- Maintain, inspect, and coordinate repairs for company tools and equipment.
- Perform minor in-house repairs when possible.
- Coordinate outside repairs with local repair vendors for power machines, roll groovers, threading machines, and other equipment when necessary.
- Track tool inventory and ensure equipment is available and operational.
Additional Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
- Assist with inventory organization and stocking.
- Support shop operations as business needs require.
- Perform other duties as assigned. Responsibilities may evolve as business needs change.
- Assist both the Service and Contract Departments with company vehicle maintenance.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to safely operate a pickup truck and make deliveries.
- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot tools and equipment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Forklift experience is a plus (training available if needed).
- Basic computer skills for ordering materials and communication.

Pay: $52,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
