Therapist – Outpatient Forensic Practice
Forensic psychology sits at the intersection of mental health, trauma, and justice. About the Role:
This is a full- or part-time clinical position with a unique opportunity to:
- Provide individual therapy for clients working to change harmful or high-risk sexual behaviors, address pornography addiction, and navigate complex relational and emotional concerns within ethical and forensic-informed frameworks.
- Facilitate or co-facilitate specialized group treatment focused on accountability, behavior change, emotional regulation, and building healthier relationships, with preparation and follow-through as core expectations.
- Work with a mix of mandated and voluntary clients, helping them balance accountability with compassion, insight, and sustained behavior change.
- Collaborate professionally with attorneys, caseworkers, and other systems partners in a manner that upholds clinical ethics, supports client progress, and recognizes the realities of legal contexts.
- Contribute to a practice that integrates trauma-informed, evidence-based treatment with a strong emphasis on dignity, respect, and person-centered care.
Who We’re Looking For:
We are seeking a therapist who is:
- A licensed or license-eligible (within 60 days) mental health clinician (PhD/PsyD psychologist, LPC, LCSW, LMFT, PLPC, LMSW, or similar). Provisionally licensed therapists are warmly encouraged to apply!
- Comfortable working with justice-involved clients and able to maintain clear clinical boundaries in complex systems.
- Skilled in, or interested in developing skills in, trauma-informed, evidence-based treatment, including work with shame, stigma, and high-risk behaviors.
- Able to communicate professionally and clearly with attorneys, evaluators, and other systems partners when needed.
- Reflective, open to feedback, and motivated to grow in a highly specialized niche while applying learning with increasing independence.
- Able to manage clinical responsibilities, documentation, and follow-through consistently within a private practice environment.
Prior forensic or justice-related experience is helpful but not required. Strong clinical fundamentals, solid boundaries, and an openness to learning are essential.

Depending on interest, readiness, and supervision capacity, there may also be opportunities to:
- Gain exposure to forensic and psychological evaluations(e.g., psychosexual assessments, parental capacity, custody, and risk assessments), with mentorship available for clinicians interested in expanding into assessment work over time.
- Develop specialized programming, such as groups or workshops for partners or family members of justice-involved individuals or those impacted by problematic sexual behavior.
Work Schedule & Structure:
- Full-time caseload: approximately 22 clinical contact hours per week
- Paid administrative time provided for documentation and work-related tasks
- Scheduling autonomy within the practice framework
- Flexibility for remote documentation and telehealth
- No evening or weekend hours required
Supervision & Professional Development:
- Individual clinical supervision provided at no cost by Dr. Stephanie Bono, a law-trained, licensed psychologist
- Supervision structured to support licensure requirements and specialized skill development
- Weekly consultation meeting for case discussion, collaborative problem-solving, and team support
- Continuing education credits provided for ongoing professional development
Compensation & Benefits:
Compensation is transparent and based on clinical work and administrative tasks:
- Treatment services: $50+ per clinical hour (provisionally licensed) to $80+ per clinical hour (fully licensed)
- Quarterly performance-based bonuses
- Expected annual earnings: $60,000+ (provisionally licensed, full-time) or $80,000+ (fully licensed, full-time, depending on licensure and experience)
