Full Job Description

Location: Shell Knob, MO

Department: Loan Department

Reports to: Executive Loan Assistant/ Branch President

Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday; Every 3rd Saturday

Job Summary:

The primary responsibility of a Loan Assistant is to accurately prepare loan documents following Freedom Bank policy and applicable bank laws and regulations. Loan Assistants are responsible for gathering information for loan closings, coordinating loan closings, communicating with customers to gather necessary information, and preparing reports and other administrative tasks related to loans.

Essential Job Functions:

1. Preparing accurate documents for the loan process including new loans, renewals, or modifications.

2. Gathering necessary information including ordering appraisals, environmental reports, flood reports survey information.

3. Performing and reviewing UCC lien searches.

4. Working closely with the loan officer to ensure accuracy of documents and effective communication with the customer.

5. Preparing appropriate tickets to draw funds from existing loans or other loan related transactions.

6. Efficiently completes administrative duties related to the loan department and needs of loan officers.

7. Other duties that may be assigned.

Job Requirements:

A minimum of 1-3 years of banking experience.
The ability to maintain confidentiality for our customers.
Self-starter who is organized, efficient, and has great time management skills.
Ability to effectively multitask.
The ability to consistently provide outstanding customer service.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to read, write, type, see, hear, speak, or otherwise communicate in English
Excellent work habits, attendance, and ability to follow policies and procedures.

Physical & Environmental Conditions:

This position exists in an office environment requiring the individual to perform normal activities including, but not limited to, lifting, filing and retrieving, operating office equipment, etc.
Must be able to remain seated for long periods of time.
Must be very mobile because files and equipment used may not always be close at hand.

Working Relationships:

All bank management and associates
Customers and potential customers (in person and by phone)

Education:

Minimum education level - A high school diploma or equivalent required.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Does not normally supervise subordinates.
