Job Summary:
We are seeking a Locksmith Apprentice to join our team. The Locksmith will be responsible for learning installing, repairing, adjusting, and maintaining locks and access control systems. The ideal candidate should have a keen eye for detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Install and repair locks and access control systems
- Impression new or duplicate keys
- Rekey locks when necessary
- Respond to emergency lockout situations, including after hour calls and weekends
- Maintain accurate records
- Provide customers with guidance on lock needs
- Keep up-to-date with advancements in lock technology
Skills:
- Proficiency in using locksmith tools and equipment
- Strong knowledge of different types of locks and access control systems
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
-Ability to stand and or kneel for long periods of time
-Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with customers
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities - Can you think out of the box?
