The Deloitte Center for Integrated Research (CIR) works with senior leaders across the firm to develop rigorously vetted, data-driven thought leadership. CIR sits at the center of Deloitte's industry and functional expertise, bringing together insights from across the organization to develop fresh thinking that helps clients navigate complex business issues. Position summary
Deloitte is seeking a Senior Consultant, Writer to join the Reporting Team within the Center for Integrated Research. This team represents an emerging capability within R&I and is focused on covering news events and trending topics through a thought leadership lens.
The Senior Consultant will serve as a key contributor, working closely with research leaders and subject matter specialists to identify, develop, and publish timely, insight-driven articles that connect Deloitte's research, expertise, and perspectives to the broader marketplace conversation. Through this work, the individual will help elevate Deloitte's voice on issues that matter to clients and support stronger market engagement.
The ideal candidate brings strong editorial and journalistic capabilities, sound business judgment, and the ability to move quickly across topics in a fast-paced environment. This person should be detail-oriented, highly collaborative, audience-focused, and comfortable operating under tight deadlines. A background in journalism, editorial, content marketing, thought leadership, or strategic communications is strongly preferred.

Work you'll do
Brand journalism and content development

Collaborate with research leaders and subject matter specialists to identify and develop timely articles tied to newsworthy, client-relevant topics.

Write and ghostwrite concise, compelling content that incorporates Deloitte perspectives, research findings, and marketplace relevance.

Cover assigned topic areas as a brand journalist, conducting interviews and translating complex ideas into clear, engaging narratives for business audiences.

Support the development of:

Research-infused reporting that synthesizes internal research and external developments into timely business analysis

Idea testing and research previews that help assess interest in emerging topics and early-stage research themes

Internal news briefings that provide data-driven perspectives on breaking developments for internal stakeholders

Contribute to the collection, organization, and synthesis of information needed to support high-quality, insight-driven outputs.
Editorial collaboration and quality

Help ensure the rigor and credibility of published insights by questioning assumptions, validating claims, and applying precision in language, data usage, and framing.

Partner with researchers and subject matter specialists to sharpen ideas, strengthen arguments, and identify distinctive story angles.

Evaluate content for relevance, clarity, novelty, and alignment with business priorities and audience needs.

Apply strong editorial judgment to improve readability, structure, flow, and audience engagement while preserving the author's voice.

Edit content for factual accuracy, grammar, punctuation, tone, and style, while incorporating SEO and GEO best practices as appropriate.

Work closely with editors and collaborate with design, marketing, and other internal teams to support successful content development and delivery.

Help manage multiple assignments and deadlines while maintaining consistent quality and responsiveness.

Required qualifications

Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, English, literature, or a related field

Minimum of 5 years of experience in writing, editing, and copyediting content in American English

Prior experience producing business-focused, executive-ready content

Prior experience in business journalism, publishing, thought leadership, or strategic communications

Prior experience working with corporate thought leadership and cross-industry content

Prior experience working in a professional services or similarly fast-paced, matrixed environment

Wage Disclosure
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $80,400 to $165,000
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
