About Us

New River Oaks Anthony's New York Italian opening soon .We are a new upscale Italian restaurant in Houston dedicated to delivering an exceptional dining experience through authentic cuisine, warm hospitality, and elevated service. Our concept combines the energy of a refined dining room with the charm of classic Italian hospitality, offering guests fresh house-made dishes, premium wines, handcrafted cocktails, and attentive service in a sophisticated setting.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced, polished, and hands-on Restaurant Manager to lead daily front-of-house operations and help launch a premier dining destination in Houston. The ideal candidate is passionate about hospitality, thrives in a fast-paced upscale environment, and has a strong background in service standards, team leadership, guest relations, and restaurant performance.

This role requires someone who can inspire the team, maintain high standards, and ensure every guest receives an outstanding dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth and efficient service
Lead and manage front-of-house staff, including servers, bartenders, hosts, and support team members
Maintain exceptional service standards and ensure an elevated guest experience at all times
Train, coach, and develop team members on service, product knowledge, wine presentation, and hospitality standards
Assist in hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management of staff
Monitor dining room flow, table service, reservations, and guest satisfaction
Resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly
Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure strong communication between front and back of house
Uphold cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards throughout the restaurant
Manage opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and daily reports
Support inventory control, ordering, labor management, and cost control initiatives
Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations
Help drive sales through strong floor presence, upselling, private dining, and repeat guest relationships

Qualifications

Minimum 5 plus years of restaurant management experience, preferably in upscale or fine dining
Strong leadership and team development skills
Passion for hospitality and guest service
Experience with Italian cuisine or upscale dining concepts preferred
Knowledge of wine, cocktails, and refined service standards preferred
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Professional appearance, polished demeanor, and positive attitude
Experience with POS systems, scheduling, labor management, and daily reporting
Ability to thrive in a high-volume, high-expectation environment
