This is not a traditional oncology nursing role built around high patient volumes and brief encounters. Here, you'll provide dedicated one-on-one care, build lasting relationships with patients and families, and become a trusted guide through education, advocacy, care coordination, and compassionate clinical excellence.
Working alongside an experienced Oncology Nurse Practitioner, supportive wound care nurses, collaborative physicians, and regional oncology specialists, you'll help shape the future of rural oncology care while continuing to grow your own expertise.
You'll join a collaborative, highly supportive team that includes:
- Experienced Wound Care Registered Nurses
- Daily onsite collaboration with our hospital pharmacy team

- Practice relationship-centered, one-on-one patient care.
- Build lasting relationships with patients and families throughout their cancer journey.
- Work alongside an experienced Oncology Nurse Practitioner and collaborative physician team.
- Partner with regional oncology specialists while caring for patients close to home.
- Practice in a newly equipped, state-of-the-art oncology and infusion clinic with two semi-private treatment rooms.
- Expand your expertise in oncology, infusion therapy, advanced wound care, patient navigation, and care coordination.
- Help shape an innovative rural oncology program with the vision of becoming a national leader in rural oncology care.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments.
- Administer infusion therapies, including chemotherapy.
- Develop individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and caregivers.
- Coordinate care with physicians and regional oncology specialists.
- Support patient navigation and care coordination.
- Monitor treatment response.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
- Assist wound care specialists in assessment and management of complex wounds.
- Continue growing through education and specialty certification.

- Current Utah RN License or Compact RN License
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current BLS Certification
- ACLS (or obtain within 3 months)
- ONS/ONCC Certification (or obtain within 6 months)
- Wound Care Certification (or obtain within 2 years)
