Full Job Description

*At least 1 year of direct experience working in a bank or a credit union is a mandatory qualification.

Commonwealth National Bank is looking for a reliable bank teller to process all transactions accurately and efficiently in accordance with established policies and procedures. The successful candidate will provide friendly, courteous customer service and respond to customer’s inquires and concerns.

Essential Functions

Maintain the highest level of confidentiality with all information obtained.
Contribute to the fulfillment of department and company objectives and goals. Comply with all policies, procedures and regulations.
Accept retail and/or commercial deposits, loan payments, process checking and savings account withdrawals, cash checks, provide cashier’s checks and process credit card cash advances.
Promote the bank’s product and services.
Balance cash drawer in accordance with procedures and regulations.
Answer customer inquiries and refer customers to the proper service area for issues that cannot be resolved by customer service.
Waits on customers in a timely, efficient and professional manner.
Represents the bank in a manner that maintains and expands positive relations with all customers, potential customers and co-workers.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
One (1) or more years of related experience in banking, personal banking, retail banking or financial services industry.
Must possess excellent math skills.
Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with electronic equipment.
Strong oral and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to carry out instructions, interpret documents, understand policies, procedures, reports, correspondence and speak clearly to customers and employees.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment with all levels of team members and management.
Ability to deal with problems involving multiple facets problems.
Excellent customer service and sales skills.
