Full Job Description

Summary

Under general supervision of the Facilities Manager, perform general maintenance tasks on equipment in the plant to ensure safe and proper operations daily.

Full time / 12 month

Essential Job Responsibilities

· Work closely with the Facilities Manager

· Following the budget guideline for the faculties department.

· Scheduling and directing the maintenance and custodial staff.

· Oversee groundskeeping and curb appeal — pressure washing, debris removal, and more.

· Creating and directing a preventative maintenance program with the ultimate goal of attaining a zero-downtime environment.

· Maintaining adequate and organized parts inventory and sourcing the best overall pricing of the necessary parts and supplies.

· Ordering any needed parts for the facilities

· Obtain approval from the Facilities Manager for orders over $500.

· Maintenance staff recruiting and training in all aspects of maintenance.

· Obtaining/maintaining all licenses and permits associated with pressure vessels, backflow preventers, wastewater discharge permits, and state-required guidelines related to piping and equipment as needed.

· Managing the custodial function and staff. Ensure appropriate supplies are available at all times to clean the Campus daily.

· On-time startup of the facility.

· Evaluations, recommendations, and guiding the maintenance staff to ensure continued career development.

· Following all school growth programs annually.

· Participate in safety meetings with the entire staff.

· Perform other related duties as assigned.

· Ensure safety compliance with OSHA standards and SPM procedures.

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

· At least 5 years of property maintenance experience (supervisory or lead tech experience a plus)

· Must possess strong knowledge and troubleshooting skills in Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatic, Hydraulics, and Natural Gas Combustion.

· Strong communication skills, verbal and written, interpersonal and listening skills, and ability to speak effectively before groups of customers and employees.

· Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations and excellent people skills.

· Ability to read, understand and interrupt technical manuals.

· Demonstrate strong computer proficiency, with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel), including typing skills and the ability to navigate through multiple computer systems.
