Full Job Description

Carlisle Medical, Inc., a fast growing privately held company celebrating 46 years of service, is currently seeking a Human Resources Manager for our Mobile home office location.

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing the company’s human resources functions and ensuring effective people-management practices across the organization. This position provides leadership and support in employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, compliance, benefits, payroll coordination, and employee development. The HR Manager serves as a trusted resource for employees and management while helping foster a positive, professional, and productive workplace culture.

Essential Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and programs in alignment with company goals and applicable employment laws.
Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, transfers, promotions, and separations.
Partner with managers to address employee relations matters, workplace concerns, performance issues, and disciplinary actions.
Provide guidance to management regarding employment practices, policies, documentation, and compliance requirements.
Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel records and HR documentation.
Administer employee benefits programs and serve as a resource for employees regarding benefit questions and enrollment.
Coordinate payroll-related HR activities, including employee changes, deductions, timekeeping issues, and other necessary documentation.
Manage performance management processes, including performance evaluations, coaching, corrective action, and employee development.
Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including applicable wage and hour, leave, workplace safety, and employment requirements.
Oversee and coordinate leave programs, including FMLA and other applicable employee leave.
Develop and maintain employee handbooks, forms, policies, and HR communications.
Coordinate employee training, professional development, and workplace education initiatives.
Assist with workforce planning, staffing needs, organizational development, and employee retention strategies.
Investigate employee complaints and workplace concerns promptly, fairly, and confidentially.
Maintain HR metrics and reports, including turnover, retention, headcount, staffing, and other workforce data.
Promote employee engagement, recognition, teamwork, and a positive company culture.
Ensure consistent and fair application of company policies and employment practices.
Maintain strict confidentiality of employee, payroll, benefits, and company information.
Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
5-7 years of progressive HR experience, with management or leadership experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of employment practices and applicable federal and state employment laws.
Experience with employee relations, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and HR compliance.
Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR/payroll systems; experience with ADP preferred.
Ability to work independently while effectively partnering with employees and leadership at all levels.
