Basic Function
The Director of Admissions is responsible for management, training, and admission outcomes of the operations of Admissions at the Campus Level. This will be done by ensuring Campus Level Admissions Advisors are consistently executing their daily operational plans / priorities / CRM updates / and executing on appropriate campaigns and community based lead generation events. In addition, the Director of Admissions is responsible for maintaining a highly professional image, the consistent management, introduction and training of company provided policies and procedures, and proactively managing the day-to-day admissions operations ensuring campus level student enrollment goals and key measures are met.
Essential Job Duties

Oversee and Direct the admissions processes for Campus Level Admissions and provide training as required

Develop comprehensive, integrated admissions strategies in support of the Gurnick's vision, mission and priorities.

Oversee and participate in the development of admissions materials, events, and marketing practices

Recruit, train, manage, supervise, and motivate Admissions Advisors and support staff

Ensure appropriate lead distribution to admissions team

Ensure conversion rate targets are met by individual admissions personnel

Ensure appropriate scheduling of advisors to meet business needs including evenings and weekends

Ensure speed to lead benchmarks are met by program

Conduct quality control activities to ensure script frameworks and message compliance for calls, SMSs, and email correspondence with prospective students

Conduct daily priority meetings and weekly overall progress meetings with Campus Level Admissions to ensure appropriate progress is being made towards enrollment goals and quality of work

Clearly communicate program requirements, academic requirements, and documentation needs

Stay up to date on all programs offered by the campus as well as changes in the employment marketplace – including program statistics such as placement rates, licensure pass rates, retention rates

Review pipeline status of candidates as they move through from introduction/information to enrollment stages of the admissions process with a focus on leads being properly processed through the contact strategy

Participate in scheduled evaluations and goal-setting meetings with Campus Director

Actively seek out and promote ongoing admissions best practices

Oversee the process of retention of admitted students, ensuring they start on their scheduled start date.

Experience and Education
-
Bachelor’s degree in related Administrative, Business, Liberal Arts or Social Sciences (minimum) or Graduate Degree in Administration (preferred)

6+ years of increasingly responsible experience managing admission, enrollment, or sales effort.

Outstanding verbal, writing, and presentation skills. Must be able to communicate and interact effectively with students, faculty, staff, and all constituencies involved in the recruitment of new students.

Working knowledge and understanding of established professional codes of ethics and related principles of good practice for Admissions professionals.

Fluency with the execution of reporting and data analysis.

Organizational knowledge of educational institutions

Preferred management work experience in a school environment

Working knowledge or experience interfacing with hospitals and other healthcare organizations
