Must have 2 years’ experience processing consumer auto and HELOC loans to apply!

We are currently seeking an experienced Credit Union Consumer Auto and HELOC Loan Processor for a credit union in Modesto, CA.

Type: Temporary for 6 months – possible temp-to-hire

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00/hr.

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm or hours close that.

Responsibilities:

Process consumer loan applications including auto loans, indirect auto dealer loans, and HELOCs.
Communicates with members applying for a loan from all channels to include designated branches, online, phone, etc.
Interview loan applicants, gathering the required information for a loan application.
Explain loan options, rates, terms, and any collateral requirements.
Submit complete loan packages to the underwriter for decisioning.
Obtain all required information and any requested by the Underwriter.
Contact member regarding the decision.
Processes and disburses all loan requests.
Follows up with members within the required time frame regarding any documents dealing with collateral such as but not limited to DMV forms, Insurance forms, etc.
Verify all loan package checklist items are complete.
Utilize an indirect lending system processor to track loan package progress.

Requirements/Qualifications:

2 years processing or closing auto loans and HELOCs within a bank or credit union.
Familiarity with all loan applications and documents.
Knowledge of credit union consumer lending policies, procedures, and computer systems
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with members and co-workers.
Efficient, accurate and detail-oriented.
Registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) to originate home equity applications and assist first mortgage loan requests required if hired.
High School Diploma or GED required!
Bilingual (Spanish/English) fluency is a plus.
