Imaging Services Manager Responsibilities
As the Imaging Services Manager, you will:
- Oversee daily operations for Radiology and Imaging Services departments
- Support the Director of Imaging with departmental strategy and operational goals
- Lead, mentor, coach, and develop imaging technologists and support staff
- Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard qualified team members
- Manage staffing, scheduling, workflow optimization, and productivity
- Assess staffing needs and ensure appropriate team competency levels
- Monitor department performance, budgets, resources, and operational efficiency
- Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, state, and local regulatory requirements
- Maintain imaging equipment readiness and support quality assurance initiatives
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and hospital departments to improve patient care
- Lead performance improvement projects and staff education programs
- Maintain department policies, procedures, inventory, and operational standards
- Serve as Director designee when needed
Qualifications
Required qualifications:
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) or eligible for certification
- Three or more years of healthcare leadership or imaging management experience
- CT and X-Ray experience required
- Strong knowledge of Diagnostic Imaging operations
- Experience leading, mentoring, and developing imaging teams
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
