JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Responsible for managing all aspects of organization marketing and sales including establishing and maintaining positive relationships with customers and referral sources, responding to customer requests and concerns, and negotiating service contracts with managed care organizations, government agencies, and other payers.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Implements marketing and promotional initiatives to achieve budgeted volume projections
- Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with current and potential referral sources
- Builds and monitors community, customer, payer, and patient perceptions of Compassionate Care as a high-quality provider
- Identifies opportunities for additional or improved services to address customer needs
- Maintains strong working knowledge of Compassionate Care markets including government agencies, payer groups, referral sources, and competitor positioning
- Maintains knowledge of marketing trends and shares relevant information with leadership
- Maintains knowledge of community resources and assists customers in accessing services when Compassionate Care services are not available
- Monitors and reports the cost-effectiveness of marketing efforts
- Performs ongoing follow-up with referral sources and partners

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Sales and marketing experience preferred, ideally in home care or healthcare
- Ability to market services confidently while maintaining professionalism with customers and community partners
- Knowledge of business management principles
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and public relations skills
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently
- Prior experience in the Home Health or Hospice industry preferred
- Ability to organize and execute programs while managing multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong problem-solving and solution-focused mindset
- Ability to manage account needs professionally while setting realistic service expectations
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to home health and hospice
- Professional business image and conduct
- Ability to ethically generate referrals and grow business relationships
- Strong listening and communication skills
- Strict adherence to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy
