Inside Sales Representative & Sales Support

Stoltzfus Feed & Supply is seeking a motivated, relationship driven Inside Sales Representative to join our team in Gap, PA. This position combines inside sales, customer service, and retail store support, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys helping customers, building long-term relationships, and contributing to business growth.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with equine feed and horse care, a strong retail and customer service background, and a passion for creating an exceptional customer experience. This individual will be comfortable assisting customers both over the phone and in person, supporting retail store operations, and identifying opportunities to grow customer accounts through product knowledge and relationship building.

What You'll Do

Customer Service, Sales & Relationship Building

Answer customer inquiries via phone, email, & text message.
Process sales orders for retail delivery, racetrack/professional accounts, wholesale customers, and swine accounts.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships through responsive service and proactive communication.
Assist customers with product recommendations, feed programs, special orders, and order status updates.
Identify opportunities to increase sales through add-on products, promotions, and customer follow-up.
Work closely with the sales team to grow existing accounts and develop new business opportunities.
Deliver a positive and professional customer experience that encourages repeat business and customer loyalty.

Retail Store Support

Provide exceptional service to walk-in customers.
Assist with retail merchandising, product displays, stocking, shelf organization, and store presentation.
Maintain brand standards and ensure the retail environment is clean, organized, and welcoming.
Support daily retail store operations, including opening and closing procedures.
Work alternating Saturdays as part of the retail store schedule.
Assist customers with dog license purchases and other retail transactions.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Demonstrated experience with equine feed, nutrition, and horse care is required.
Previous retail sales and customer service experience.
Experience merchandising products and maintaining a professional retail environment.
Ability and willingness to open and close the retail store.
Availability to work alternating Saturdays.
Strong sales aptitude with the ability to build customer relationships and grow business opportunities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Strong commitment to providing outstanding customer service.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous inside sales, account management, order entry, or agricultural sales experience.
Experience with ERP systems, preferably Epicor.
Knowledge of feed, agricultural, livestock, pet, or animal health products.
Experience working with horse owners, equine professionals, farms, training facilities, or racetracks.
