Footprints Behavioral Interventions is hiring compassionate, dependable, and motivated Behavior Technicians to serve children and families throughout Salem and surrounding Marion County communities. Employees hired without current Oregon Registered Behavior Analysis Interventionist (RBAI) registration must complete the registration process within 90 days of hire.
Current Oregon RBAI registration is preferred but not required at hire. Footprints provides eligible employees with training, registration support, and RBAI fee reimbursement.

As a Behavior Technician, you will work directly with children under the supervision of a licensed and Board Certified Behavior Analyst. You will implement individualized Applied Behavior Analysis programs, collect clinical data, teach meaningful skills, and support each client’s progress across clinic, home, and community settings.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Implement individualized ABA treatment and behavior support programs
- Provide one-on-one services to children in clinic, home, and community settings
- Teach communication, social, play, self-help, and daily living skills
- Assist clients with physical support and movement based on their individualized needs
- Collect accurate clinical data using an electronic data collection system
- Follow treatment protocols developed by the supervising behavior analyst
- Communicate professionally with supervisors, team members, and families
- Participate in supervision, training, team meetings, and performance feedback
- Protect client dignity, confidentiality, safety, and professional boundaries
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 18 years old
- High school diploma, GED, modified diploma, or qualifying postsecondary degree
- Completion of 40 hours of professional training in Applied Behavior Analysis or willingness and ability to complete the required training
- Ability to satisfy Oregon’s fingerprint-based nationwide criminal records check requirements
- At least 20 hours of client-compatible weekday availability, particularly during afternoon and early-evening hours
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and current automobile insurance
- Ability to travel between client homes, clinics, and community locations
- Ability to provide documentation of a negative TB test
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to interact positively and professionally with clients, families, supervisors, and team members
- Basic proficiency with technology and electronic documentation
- Ability to comply with Footprints Behavioral Interventions’ drug-free workplace policy
OREGON RBAI REGISTRATION
Current Oregon RBAI registration is preferred but not required at hire. Employees hired without active registration must satisfy all applicable Oregon RBAI requirements and complete the registration process within 90 days of hire. Footprints provides eligible employees with training, registration support, and RBAI fee reimbursement.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, child development, behavioral science, or a related field
- Previous experience working with children or individuals with autism or developmental disabilities
- Current Oregon RBAI registration
- Experience implementing ABA programs
- Bilingual or multilingual skills
SCHEDULING
- Part-time opportunities of approximately 15–30 hours per week are available
- Actual working hours depend on employee availability, client needs, service authorizations, location, and cancellations.
- Most available cases occur during weekday afternoons and early evenings
- Employees must provide at least 20 hours of client-compatible availability per week
- Available client hours may vary based on authorizations, location, family schedules, and cancellations

Paid Time Off and Sick Leave
- Part-time hourly employees begin accruing paid sick time at hire at a rate of one hour for every 30 hours worked, subject to applicable Oregon law and company policy. Accrued sick time may be used after the applicable eligibility period.
