Full Job Description

Position Summary

The Banking Relationship Specialist supports deposit growth and builds strong customer relationships within the community. This role focuses on account opening, overall customer service, and basic business development activities, which include visits to customer locations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Open new consumer and business deposit accounts accurately and efficiently.

Ensure compliance with new account procedures and regulatory requirements.

Proactively call on existing customers to build and foster relationships.

Conduct regular off-site visits to customer and prospect locations.

Identify deposit growth opportunities and promote banking products.

Provide exceptional service by assisting customers with account needs and address any issues as they arise.

Resolve customer concerns promptly to ensure satisfaction.

Educate customers on products, digital tools, and available financial solutions.

Maintain strong product knowledge which includes Treasury Management services (Business Online Banking, ACH Send/Receive, Positive Pay, Business Bill Pay, Federal Tax Payments).

Cross-sell products and services appropriately.

Additional job duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications

Previous customer service or banking experience required.
Good customer service skills and ability to build relationships.
Outgoing and confident interacting with customers in person and off-site.
Willingness to learn and take initiative.
Basic written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to handle multiple tasks with attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize duties and responsibilities.
Comfortable engaging with the community and representing the bank.
Basic knowledge of banking products is preferred but not required.
Fluent with Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Word, Excel)
