CNA/Patient Care Assistant FT

Join our Team! Ward Memorial Hospital is committed to provide primary and certain specialty services with high quality care, concern, dedication to the improvement of our facility.

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Med/Surg Manager

JOB SUMMARY:
Primarily responsible for the delivery of non-clinical care to all adult and or pediatric patients. Responsible for delivery of clinical care as delegated by licensed nurses and within the scope of practice. Responsible for promoting positive interactions with staff, physicians, patients, families and other visitors.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Licensure: Current State of Texas Certification as a Certified Nurse Aid preferred, but not required. High School graduate or GED required.

Must have flexibility to work all shifts. Shift differentials for nights and weekends.

Physical and Mental Requirements
Often work with infectious specimens. Infection control and sterilization protocols must be followed to minimize these hazards. Position requires frequent hours of standing and stooping.

History:

Ward Memorial Hospital is a 25-bed critical access facility providing healthcare services to Ward County and 14 surrounding counties in the area. The hospital has served residents of Ward County since 1956.

The hospital features a Level IV trauma designated emergency room, in addition to a wide range of medical services including laboratory, radiology, general surgery, sleep wellness center, respiratory therapy and cardiac/pulmonary rehab, rheumatology, physical therapy, and two rural health clinics.
