What You’ll Do

As a Cook, you will play an important role in providing residents with meals that are both nutritious and enjoyable.

Key responsibilities include:

Preparing and cooking meals according to established menus and recipes
Ensuring meals meet quality, nutrition, and presentation standards
Assisting with weekly menu planning based on resident needs and preferences
Following all food safety and sanitation guidelines
Maintaining a clean, organized kitchen environment
Monitoring food inventory and assisting with supply ordering
Recording required temperature logs and sanitation documentation
Engaging with residents in a friendly and respectful manner
Working collaboratively with the dining services team to ensure smooth meal service

The ideal candidate enjoys working in a team environment and takes pride in preparing meals that make residents feel at home.

Qualifications

✔ High school diploma or equivalent required
✔ Previous cooking experience preferred (healthcare or senior living a plus)
✔ Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
✔ Ability to prepare well-balanced meals and follow recipes
✔ Strong teamwork and communication skills
✔ Compassionate attitude toward working with seniors

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the kitchen during shifts
Ability to lift or move up to 30 pounds
Ability to work safely in a kitchen environment with heat and kitchen equipment
