Special Needs Babysitter/Nanny Needed (Full-Time/Part-Time/Flexible)
We are looking for a caring, dependable, and experienced babysitter/nanny to care for children ages 6 and 13 with special needs. The ideal candidate is patient, engaging, and committed to providing a safe, supportive, and structured environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive care and supervision for children with special needs.
- Assist with homeschooling and light tutoring as needed.
- Prepare simple meals and snacks.
- Perform light housekeeping related to the children’s care.
- Provide transportation for activities or after school pick up on occasion (valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required).
- Be available for occasional evening/date nights.
- Encourage positive behavior and participate in age-appropriate activities.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of professional childcare experience.
- Experience working with children with special needs is required.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (or applicable country/region).
- Clean background check required prior to employment.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (preferred).
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Consistent, reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
- Patient, compassionate, and able to adapt to each child’s individual needs.
Background Check & Legal Requirements:
- A comprehensive background check (including criminal history and, if applicable, driving record) will be required before hiring.
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of all required screening processes.

Duties
- Provide attentive supervision and engaging activities tailored to each child's age and interests, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks suitable for children’s dietary requirements and preferences
- Assist with light household chores such as cleaning up after children, dish washing after meals
- Support children’s daily routines including after school activities
- Offer personal transportation assistance for school pick ups or outings as needed
- Collaborate closely with parents to ensure consistent care plans and communicate daily updates on children’s progress and activities
Skills
- Proven experience working with children across different age groups, especially infants and toddlers
- Strong background in childcare including preschool experience and babysitting or nannying roles
- Knowledge of caregiving techniques for children with disabilities or special needs
- Ability to perform residential housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, organizing toys, and maintaining a safe environment
- Skilled in meal preparation tailored to children’s nutritional needs and preferences
- Certified in first aid and CPR with the ability to respond calmly during emergencies
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with families and team members
