Purchasing Coordinator Job Description

Entering specifications for interior design packages
Creating budgets for renovation projects
Taking off (counting) product in hotel spaces
Communicating by phone and email with vendors to get pricing for items
Creating PO’s in a proprietary software system
Monitoring the production and delivery timelines
Working with freight and warehouse companies to track all products to the job site

Purchasing Coordinator Job Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Successful negotiating and purchasing skills or the willingness and ability to complete training / classes and learn quickly.
Ability to negotiate best price for best products/brand standards and delivery while maintaining a good business relationship with vendors.
Ability to coordinate vendors, delivery dates and other logistics.
Ability to multi- task
Ability to meet tight deadlines and work in a very fast paced environment
Excellent communication skills
Good at time management and organization
