Full Job Description

Our client, a leading Tier 1 automotive supplier, is seeking a Contract HR Generalist.

This position will serve as a key HR resource for plant employees and leadership, providing support across recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, leave tracking, and HR administration. This position duration is appx. 8 months.

Position Summary

The Contract Senior HR Generalist will support the facility while partnering closely with HR and operations teams at other locations. This individual will spend significant time on the manufacturing floor interacting with employees, answering questions, assisting managers, and supporting hiring efforts.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can quickly learn new processes, independently manage competing priorities, and confidently shift focus as business needs evolve.

Job Duties:

· Support the Company’s mission, vision, values and goals in the performance of daily activities.

· Maintain positive colleague relations through effective communication and prompt attention to staff concerns.

· Support full-cycle recruiting for hourly manufacturing and operations positions

· Partner with staffing agencies and internal hiring teams to attract qualified candidates

· Assist in the orientation program for all new hires.

· Facilitate E-Verify processes

· Coordinate pre-employment drug screens and background checks

· Serve as a visible HR presence on the manufacturing floor

· Respond to employee questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner

· Support attendance-related employee relations matters

· Assist with benefits enrollment for newly hired employees

· Support leave administration processes and coordinate with third-party providers

· Assist with workers' compensation administration and communication with third-party partners

· Review and reconcile employee time records

· Ensure employee punches and payroll-related data are accurate

· Provide support to staff on company policies and procedures.

· Maintain applicant files and records as required by federal and state law.

· Coordinate employee training schedules and transition activities

Required Experience:

· Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Business or equivalent experience.

· 4-6 years experience in Human Resources

· Tier 1 supplier experience, required.

· General knowledge in several HR processes and practices (employee relations, organizational development, leadership development, compensation, benefits, etc.)

· Excellent organizational, analytical and communication skills.

· Strong problem resolution skills, along with customer service and team orientation skills.

· Proven leadership ability and excellent interpersonal skills.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office software.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

· Ability to work well with others in a team environment.

Pay: $33.00 - $38.00 per hour
