Full Job Description

Haas VF2-SS CNC Mill Machinist

Location: Madison Heights, VA
Job Type: Full-Time
Shift: 1st Shift

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled machinist with direct experience operating a Haas VF-2SS vertical machining center. This position requires setup capability and production machining in a tight-tolerance environment. Knowledge and experience with setting up a 5 axis trunion table is a plus!

Responsibilities

Setup and operate Haas VF2-SS
Load and edit programs
Set work offsets and tool length offsets
Perform tool changes and fixture setups
Inspect parts using precision measuring equipment
Maintain production documentation

Qualifications

3+ years CNC mill setup experience
Direct experience with Haas controls required
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Strong understanding of speeds, feeds, and tooling
Experience holding tight tolerances

Preferred

4th or 5th-axis experience
Basic CAM software familiarity
Experience in short-run production
