About Us:

We are a growing commercial real estate firm headquartered in the Ballantyne area of Charlotte, NC. Our company specializes in commercial property acquisitions, ground-up development, renovations, and property management. While hotels are our primary focus, our portfolio also includes land development projects, food and beverage, and mixed-use properties.

The Role:
We’re seeking an Area Director of Hotel Operations to join our Corporate HQ. You will serve as the primary operational leader for our General Managers, driving performance, guest satisfaction, and financial results across the portfolio. Our ideal candidate has hands-on hotel operations experience and a proven track record of leading high-performing teams across multiple properties. If you’re people-oriented, proactive, and feel comfortable navigating operational challenges, this role could be a great fit.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee daily operations across 5-6 select-service properties in the Carolinas, working closely with General Managers
Conduct regular property visits, operational audits, and performance reviews for continuous improvement
Drive revenue, EBITDA, and GOP targets across the portfolio through disciplined cost management and financial analysis to ensure accountability against budget
Ensure brand standards, guest satisfaction scores, and QA compliance are met or exceeded at every property
Serve as the owner liaison and primary point of contact for asset-level performance reporting and ownership communications
Analyze hotel KPIs — occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR— to identify trends, benchmark against the competitive set, and collaborate with sales and revenue management teams to support business objectives
Lead crisis management and problem-solving efforts as needed
Perform ad hoc duties and special projects as needed

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree
10+ years of direct hotel management experience preferred. Minimum of 5 years of direct hotel management required.
Multi-property or regional hotel operations experience preferred
Proven track record with multiple branded hotel flags (Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Hyatt) and familiarity with brand compliance requirements
Exceptional people leader with demonstrated ability to develop GMs and build high-performing teams
Demonstrates a highly organized and problem-solving mindset with excellent communication and decision-making skills
Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, and P&L performance
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manage and analyze complex spreadsheets
Ability to travel regularly between assigned properties

Location:

Corporate HQ: Charlotte, NC
Regional travel up to 75% to properties located in North & South Carolina

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
