Full Job Description

Position Summary: The Fraud Operations Analyst I will be responsible for analyzing and resolving fraud cases and mitigating fraud. Will also oversee cases that range from preventative alerts such as new account risk review, detection of transactional alerts such as monitoring debit/credit card or other deposit account transactions or performing resolution for a client initiating a dispute/claim. Candidates MUST be able to commute to the office in Downtown Monroe, NC.

Shift Information: Shifts range from 8am-5pm, 9am-6pm, 10am-7pm, and 1pm-10pm. Shift assignments based on need. Standard workweek is Monday-Friday, but some weekend work and overtime may be required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Reviews and investigates customer cases/claims, transaction alerts, and reports for potential and actual loss.
Minimizes losses and organizational risk by performing early detection of suspicious activity.
Use defined research procedures to identify and resolve issues.
Completes risk mitigation and/or recovery activities involving customer debit/credit card as well as other deposit account transactions by following established standards and practices.
May interact with customers by handling incoming calls or making outbound calls.
Perform activities involving account maintenance, account/card/on-line banking closure.
Identify and escalate high-level issues and trends to management.
May respond to inquiries from customers and business associates.
Respond to ad hoc issues as they arise i.e. fraud compromises, data breaches
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Required:

1+ years customer service experience and/or 2+ years college
Computer Skills: Demonstrate proficiency in basic computer applications such as Microsoft Office software products. Be able to reference multiple systems to make quick and accurate decisions
Demonstrated analytical skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to provide attention to detail either through work experience or classwork
Ability to work in a changing work environment.
Ability to work independently and/or remotely while meeting all performance expectations.
Actively support team initiatives

Desired:

1+ year banking or contact center experience
1+ year customer claim/dispute experience or fraud detection
