Full Job Description

Store Manager

Our independent ShopRite Supermarket chain is owned and operated by
Inserra Supermarkets Inc. The chain consists of 23 Shop-Rite stores,
2 Price Rite stores and 1 Fresh Grocer store with locations throughout
Northern New Jersey and Rockland County, New York.

We are currently growing quickly and as a result are seeking Store
Managers. Our candidate must be a leader with excellent people
skills and a wide knowledge and experience in all aspects of the
supermarket operations and sales.

Responsibilities:

· Provide strong, positive and proactive leadership to the
Store Management Staff, Department Heads, Full and Part
time associates.
· Responsible for building store sales, through sales plan
execution, department merchandising and providing the
best quality product.
· Manage total operations of the store
· Responsible for managing store P&L and meeting all
performing goals with emphasis on continued profit
improvement.
· Manage controllable expenses including payroll, maintenance,
supplies etc.
· The development of store associates is essential coaching, mentoring and encouragement are important tools for success.
· Provide excellent customer service.

Background Required

· Must have 3-5 years experience as a Store Manager in a
supermarket or in a large retail chain.
· Assistant Store Manager with 3-5 years experience and is
promotable will be considered.
· Background as a product specialist desirable.
· Background in grocery, produce, meat, deli or bakery desirable.
· Must have strong people skills.
· Background and experience in store associate development
important.
· College degree desirable.
· Computer skills important and a familiarity with Microsoft Office
is desirable.
