UPMC St. Margaret is seeking a Lead Interventional Technologist to join our fast-paced Interventional Radiology team. In this leadership role, you'll combine your clinical expertise with the opportunity to help guide daily operations, support fellow technologists, and contribute to exceptional patient care. This position offers flexible scheduling options with a variety of shift lengths and participation in an on-call rotation for evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Join a high-volume Interventional Radiology department where you can expand your leadership skills, support a talented team, and make a meaningful impact on patient care every day!

Responsibilities:
Assumes the leadership role in the absence of the supervisor.
Coordinates daily workflow and schedule of the department while maintaining staffing levels based on, but not limited to, call offs, vacations, patient volumes, and training needs.
Demonstrates advance knowledge in software application and techniques and the budget management of supplies.
Assists with quality assurance projects and assists in the development of exam protocols alongside of or in place of advanced technologists and communicates results back to departmental leadership.
Performs all job responsibilities of an Advanced IR Tech II.
Assists in talent acquisition interviews for successful recruitment of technologist candidates and provides feedback for annual performance reviews.
Leads orientation and training for new hires, students and other medical personnel; ensures competencies are completed in the required time frame. Responsible for offering remediation with technologists when necessary.
Graduate of an approved AMA School of Radiologic technology.
Minimum of 3 years IR experience required.
Must have obtained a performance review rating of strong/solid/good on most recent performance review to be eligible for promotion.

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:
ARRT certified as a Radiologic Technologist.Secondary registration in VI required or equivalent.CPR or BLS Required.CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire

ARRT Certificate
Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal
Act 33 with renewal
Act 34 with renewal
Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
