Full Job Description

Godirectinc.com is a fast growing, founder-led eCommerce company. The leader has demonstrated success across a variety of consumer electronic categories with brands such as PCMicroStore, Roocase and GearIT. The company is searching for a highly experienced Accountant to join the team.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage full-cycle accounting, including journal entries, accruals, and general ledger maintenance
Own and execute timely and accurate month-end and year-end close processes
Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts, including bank accounts, credit cards, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, inventory, and accruals
Ensure all financial transactions are recorded accurately in compliance with GAAP
Reconcile intercompany balances and perform settlement of key accounts
Work closely with internal teams (Operations, Marketing, Marketplace, etc.) to ensure accurate recording of revenue, expenses, and other transactions
Monitor cash flow, assist in budgeting and forecasting processes
Support external CPA or audit firm with data, schedules, and explanations as needed
Maintain and improve internal accounting processes and controls
Assist with sales tax filings, 1099 preparation, and other compliance requirements

Qualifications:

4+ years of experiences in general accounting, and/or financial reporting and analysis.
eCommerce or retail experience strongly preferred.
Netsuite or ERP system experience strongly preferred.
Advanced skills in Excel
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively across departments.
Excellent analytical skills with strong proven problem-solving abilities.
Detail oriented with ability to handle large set of data.
Excellent organizational skill with high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information,
Comfortable working in a fast paced environment.
Proven work ethic and integrity.
