Full Job Description

On behalf of our client, Manpower Malta is seeking to recruit a Junior Lawyer.

The selected candidate will support the legal, corporate, and compliance functions of the organisation on a variety of matters, with a particular focus on corporate services, employment law, and compliance. This role offers hands-on experience, direct involvement in ongoing legal matters, and the opportunity to grow within a dynamic and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

Provide legal support on corporate, commercial, employment, compliance, and regulatory matters.
Assist with the drafting, review, negotiation, and maintenance of legal, corporate, and transactional documentation.
Support corporate services activities, including company incorporations, corporate restructurings, statutory filings, maintenance of company records, and ongoing corporate administration.
Assist with corporate governance matters, including the preparation of board minutes, shareholder resolutions, powers of attorney, and other corporate documents.
Advise on employment law matters, including employment agreements, HR policies, disciplinary procedures, termination procedures, and regulatory obligations.
Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions, reports, summaries, and internal memoranda.
Support compliance and regulatory reviews, including AML/CFT documentation, due diligence processes, and internal compliance procedures.
Assist in identifying, assessing, and mitigating legal and regulatory risks.
Liaise with clients, regulatory authorities, external legal counsel, and other stakeholders on legal, corporate, and compliance matters.
Support litigation and dispute resolution matters, including the preparation of legal documentation and coordination with external parties where required.
Monitor legislative and regulatory developments in Malta and the EU and provide updates on their potential impact on the business and its clients.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of legal, corporate, and compliance processes and procedures.

Requirements

Degree in Law and warrant to practise in Malta.
Fluency in Maltese and English, both written and spoken.
Minimum of 1 year PQE in corporate and commercial law.
Experience in corporate services, compliance, employment law, yachting, aviation, or other regulated sectors will be considered an asset.
Sound understanding of Maltese corporate and employment legislation and regulatory frameworks.
Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team environment.
Professional, proactive, and client-oriented approach.
