Capvidia, the leading provider of MBD solutions for the manufacturing industry, is looking for an Applications Engineer who will help support our Fortune 500 Global customer base.
As an Application Engineer, you will be providing winning technical customer support, sales presentations, and mentoring services. This customer-facing position requires exceptional communications skills and proficiency in identifying product solutions that answer our customer’s challenges. You will provide support to a wide range of customers from many industries in the use of Capvidia’s applications and related solutions. Primary responsibilities include product presentations, instruction, troubleshooting issues, customer service, mentoring services and being familiar with global standards like ASME and ISO GPS.

Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate Capvidia Software capabilities to prospects and customers.
- Managing Projects requested by OEM’s which solves issues and automates a company process.
- Troubleshoot and provide resolution to customer issues regarding Capvidia’s products suite.
- Support the Sales Team with product knowledge, demonstrations, meeting agendas and correspondence.
- Collaborate with other technical colleagues for knowledge-building and skills-sharing.
- Research industry trends and competitive technologies.
- Instruct Training Classes for customers (classroom, custom, and/or web-based).
- Visit Customers at their facility to understand their designs and manufacturing processes.
Required Qualifications:
- US Citizenship.
- Bachelor's Degree in a mechanical design or engineering discipline.
- Ability to remotely collaborate with a team of experts based in various locations throughout the US and Europe.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent customer relations skills.
- Friendly, helpful attitude.
- Possess excellent problem definition and problem-solving skills.

- Willingness to travel.
- 1-3 Years CAD software experience in any of the major CAD platforms (Siemens NX, PTC Creo, Dassault SolidWorks and or CATIA)
- Understanding of GD&T principals per ASME Y14.5.
- Strong familiarity with Microsoft Operating Systems, MS Office products and related hardware devices.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- 3-5 Years CAD software experience in any of the major CAD platforms (Siemens NX, PTC Creo, Dassault SolidWorks and or CATIA).
- Experience/knowledge of industry standards developed for, or supportive of MBD (ASME Y14.5, ASME Y14.41, AMSE Y14.47, ISO 23952 QIF, ISO STEP 10303, MIL-STD-31000).
- Experience in metrology and inspection is a plus.
