Develops objectives, policies, and procedures for department cost centers to formalize and implement the mission, vision, and values of Billings Clinic. Maintains the standards, customer relations, and practice in a designated service line. Accountabilities include: quality of services; short and long range planning to achieve goals and objectives; fiscal control; physician and interdepartmental/intradepartmental relations; personnel management.
Essential Job Functions
- Direct and Oversee Endoscopy Department.
- Ensure safe, efficient patient-flow from referral through procedure and follow-up.
- Optimize provider schedules endoscopy block utilization.
- Monitor patient access, appointment availability, wait times, and throughput.
- Develop workflows that improve efficiency and patient satisfaction.
- Coordinate services between the clinic, endoscopy, anesthesia, pathology, surgery, radiology,
and inpatient units.
- In collaboration with physician leadership and other medical staff, administration, and other health
care providers, develops and implements short- and long-range plans, and leads, develops and
revises programs which enhance department services.
- Partner closely with gastroenterologists, surgeons, anesthesia providers and APP’s.
- Direct and Oversee Endoscopy Department.

- Ensure safe, efficient patient-flow from referral through procedure and follow-up.
- Monitor patient access, appointment availability, wait times, and throughput.
- Develop workflows that improve efficiency and patient satisfaction.
- Coordinate services between endoscopy, clinic, anesthesia, pathology, surgery, radiology, and
inpatient units.
- In collaboration with physician leadership and other medical staff, administration, and other health
care providers, develops and implements short- and long-range plans, and leads, develops and
revises programs which enhance department services.
- Partner closely with gastroenterologists, surgeons/proceduralists, anesthesia providers
and APP’s.
- Leads Endo department in the overall marketing, program development, and service priorities.
Coordinates with physicians and other Billings Clinic leadership to assure continuity in pursing
service line/organizational goals and synergy in implementing plans and problem resolution.
- Develops, implements, and maintains a realistic, cost-effective annual budget.
- Monitor productivity and staffing efficiency.
- Assist with capital equipment planning.
- Oversee supply usage and cost containment.
- Identify and advance opportunities for financial improvement.
- Practices process improvement principles to assess and improve the quality of the service/care
provided within the departments. Maintains competency in all organizational, departmental, and
outside agency safety standards relevant to job performance for department and ensures
compliance of department and staff.
- Develops, retains, recruits, and leads a talented team committed to accomplishing the goals and
objectives of Billings Clinic. Recommends, implements, and evaluates plans and systems that
ensure sufficient number of qualified and competent staff to provide care/services. Adheres to
administrative policies and procedures relating to human resource management.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, service excellence, and continuous
improvement.
- Conduct performance evaluations and corrective action when necessary.
- Ensure staff competency, orientation, and ongoing education.
- Build employee engagement and improve retention.
- Develop future leaders within the department.
- Ensure compliance with DNV, regulations, infection prevention standards etc. Continually monitor
quality indicators.
- Demonstrates and encourages an ethic of open communication and teamwork throughout the
organization. Builds an environment of shared commitment to Billings Clinic’s goals and
responsibility to achieve quality outcomes. Provides consultation for related concerns and acts as
a customer advocate by demonstrating sensitivity to ethical and legal ramifications of practice.
- Participates in evaluation, selection and integration of health care technology and information
management systems that support quality of care/financial needs and the efficient use of
resources.
- Participates in strategic planning for Endoscopy services.
- Support growth initiatives.
- Improve efficiencies using data driven decisions.
- Lead projects to enhance access, performance and improve KPI’s.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
- 4 Year / Bachelors Degree
Experience
- 2 years relevant experience
Certifications and Licenses
- Current Montana/Wyoming drivers license and the ability to be insured to operate Billings Clinic vehicles - At hire
Current licensure/certification in the State of Montana and/or Wyoming as appropriate or required for service line - At hire
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience relating to the above tasks,
knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered- Employees that require a licensed or certification must be properly licensed/certified and the licensure/certification must be in good standing.
