Full Job Description

Translink Shipping Inc. - a leading NVOCC /Freight Logistics has a supervisory position open in import operations at its south Secaucus, NJ branch location.

Scope of Position:

Working with established team facilitating the importation of cargo in a timely accurate manner. Coordinating the smooth cargo release based on established criteria and system

- Supervising staff ensuring policy and procedure compliance

- Carefully monitor receivables for credit accounts and assist staff to collect outstanding

- Troubleshooting

- Reviewing workloads to maintain balance in the office

- Cover absences / vacations

- Training any new hires A to Z

Job Requirements:

· Previous supervisory experience in import operations is required.

· Hard Skill Set: Computer knowledge at user level -
Use and familiarity of Microsoft Office suite products (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel)
Learn and navigate our proprietary software. Track and trace ability with internet.

· Soft Skill set: Must have good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Must be able to work under pressure

Major duties and responsibilities will include:

· Supervision of other staff

· Responsible for the operations of some key accounts of out port sales.

· Prepare and distribute completed arrival notices in a timely fashion to our customers.

· Track and trace shipments - keeping customers well informed

· Maintain documentation and records according to established company protocol. - Paperless environment.

· Facilitate all aspects of importation of cargo as necessary - i.e. arrange door delivery,
arrange customs clearance through our network of services.

Salary: DOE
Sound benefit package: Med/Dental, 401K program
Hours: M-F 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
