Clothing Sample Maker / Garment Sewer

We are currently seeking an experienced Clothing Sample Maker / Garment Sewer to support the production of high-end fashion garments. This role is suited for someone with advanced sewing skills, exceptional attention to detail, and genuine pride in creating beautifully made, premium-quality pieces. Our focus is on refined garments with elevated finishes, and we are looking for someone who values precision, consistency, and craftsmanship.This position goes beyond standard production sewing. The ideal candidate should be able to understand samples, garment construction, fit intent, and development feedback with accuracy, while contributing to the refinement process through multiple rounds of revisions and corrections. A strong understanding of fabric behavior including texture, drape, weight, stretch, and finish and how these elements influence sewing, fit, structure, and overall garment quality is highly important.
Qualifications
- Strong experience operating industrial single-needle sewing machines (this is not an entry-level or training position)
- Proven experience in high-quality garment construction
- Experience sewing woven garments preferred
- Ability to follow samples, specifications, and sewing instructions
- Ability to understand patterns and perform fabric cutting
- Strong eye for detail and commitment to craftsmanship
- Experience with overlock / serger machines is a plus
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Korean language ability is a plus
Preferred
- Experience in women’s and men’s apparel, with the ability to confidently handle delicate materials such as silk
- Ability to identify whether a sample issue comes from design, proportion, construction, or material choice
- Comfortable working in a founder-led brand environment
Compensation
$22–$35 per hour, depending on experience
