Full Job Description

About us:

We're a single-doctor practice that has cared for the Somerset and Middlesex County communities since 1999 — over 5,000 patients and counting. We're not a high-volume, conveyor-belt clinic. We do careful mechanical assessment using standing spinal x-rays to understand a person's posture, spinal shape, and how their body is wearing over time, and then we coach each patient through targeted chiropractic spinal adjustments, custom exercises, stretches, and traction set-ups built around what we find.

A lot of our patients come to us after they've already tried medical doctors, physical therapists, or other chiropractors and didn't get the results they were hoping for. So our whole team works to give people something they often haven't had: a real explanation, a plan, and genuine hope. We treat patients the way the old-fashioned family doctor used to — they can reach the Doctor off-hours, and we take a personal interest in their lives. What makes this role different

You will often spend more time with our patients than the doctor does. That's by design. The right person genuinely enjoys getting to know people — their work, their family, their daily life — because that's how we help someone shift from just tolerating their body to actually thriving and enjoying it. You'll help coach patients through their exercises, assist setting them up on tailored stretching and traction, keep them encouraged, and be a steady, warm presence they look forward to seeing.

It's also a small office, so the role is genuinely varied. On any given day you might greet and room patients, help traction set-up, handle insurance and payment processing, post to our social media, help with a community outreach event, and learn something new in our weekly in-office trainings.

What you'll do

Help coach patients through prescribed exercises and assist setting them up on custom stretching and traction
Welcome patients, manage the schedule, and keep the day flowing smoothly
Prepare treatment areas and equipment
Process patient payments and handle insurance billing tasks
Help with community-connection and social-media marketing
Keep patient records accurate and the office clean and organized
Take part in weekly in-office training and quarterly team trainings

The schedule (please read carefully)

This is an in-person role in Green Brook with a split daily schedule:

Mon, Wed, Thu: 7:30 AM – ~1 PM, then ~2 PM – 7 PM (unpaid midday break)
Tue: 2 PM – 7 PM (one Tuesday a month starts at 12:45 PM; occasional earlier starts for administrative work)

Roughly 35 hours/week. No regular weekend work, with one important exception below.Quarterly commitment: Four times a year we hold a team training — a few hours of learning followed by a fun team event (bowling, a great meal, something memorable). Also quarterly, the team travels for a weekend seminar (sometimes by car, sometimes by air); travel, hotel, and meals are provided. Willingness to attend these is part of the job, so please only apply if your schedule allows it.
