Core Responsibilities

Leadership and Staff Management

Lead with enthusiasm, energy, and a genuine positive demeanor while motivating the team
Maintain a strong presence on the floor during service periods
Conduct daily pre-shift meetings covering product education, projected sales, and upcoming events
Foster an inclusive, collaborative work environment that promotes development from within
Participate in recruitment, training, and development of staff

Operational Management

Serve as a knowledgeable resource on the food and beverage program
Maintain appropriate inventory levels for food, beverage, and operational supplies
Execute events and promotions to an exemplary level
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations

Guest Experience

Provide exemplary guest service and build relationships that set the standard for staff
Conduct 100% table touches and guest interaction in dining and lounge spaces
Address guest concerns promptly and follow up on written feedback through all channels

Financial Performance

Support fiscal reporting, sales forecasting, and labor cost management
Analyze sales data, compare actuals to projections, and contribute to action plans
Understand P&L performance and how daily decisions impact results

Assistant Manager – Focus Areas

The Assistant Manager supports the GM in daily operations with a primary focus on floor leadership, shift execution, and team development. This role is built as a growth track, with exposure to labor management, cost controls, and P&L review designed to prepare strong performers for future GM opportunities within the group. The Assistant Manager will:

Run service shifts independently, ensuring standards are upheld in the GM's absence
Support inventory counts, ordering, and receiving
Assist with scheduling, training, and onboarding of hourly staff
Coach and develop service team members in the moment
Handle guest recovery situations on shift and escalate as appropriate
Support cash handling, reconciliation, and end-of-shift reporting
Contribute to pre-shift meetings and ongoing staff education
Gain exposure to labor analysis, cost controls, and P&L fundamentals as part of long-term development

Schedule Expectations

These are full-time, salaried exempt positions. Typical workweek is 45 to 50 hours across five days, with required presence during peak service periods. Availability must include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.

Qualifications

Assistant Manager

Minimum 2 years of Food and Beverage management experience
Multi-outlet experience considered an asset
Proficient in POS systems, inventory and scheduling software, Excel, and Word
Food Safety, RBS, and Harassment Prevention certifications preferred (training provided post-hire if not currently held)
Ability to lift up to 40-50 lbs, stoop, bend, and stand for extended periods
Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
